ABOUT THE WORK

Manuel Sastrón was a good connoisseur of the archipelago, where he lived for many years as governor of several provinces. He also collaborated with his writings in several Manila newspapers. The present book is the second edition, greatly expanded and with numerous appendices, of his history of the Philippine Revolution. Although it favors Spain, it contains countless important data, statistical tables, and transcribed documents. It also includes four maps with military information.
