The works show the riders poised on their bikes and repeated multiple times across the canvas, embodying boundless energy and determination. The pattern they create achieves an almost abstract quality. “Fireflies” refers, of course, to “The Tour of the Fireflies,” which is a cycling event highly anticipated by bikers from all over the country.
