I n spite of the extensive and diverse history of abstract art, fresh and innovative interpretations of this medium still manage to captivate and transform its conventional essence. Bernardo Pacquing's approach to his artwork, technique, and medium showcases the potential for expressing Abstraction. While Abstraction is commonly associated with moral aspects like purity or simplicity, Pacquing's revolutionary interpretation of the genre proposes that the power of abstraction resides in a more expressive and symbolic portrayal. Therefore, unlike widely recognized abstract artworks, Pacquing's artistic style doesn't exclusively reject representation. Instead, he draws inspiration from the shapes and forms found in objects and nature. (Jed Daya)
