Its author was an infantry lieutenant colonel who fought against the first insurrection in Cavite. It provides first-hand information about what happened in different battlefields, with fourteen sketches that allow to visualize geographically what happened. Accompanied by numerous photos and drawings, the whole book should be understood as a very elaborate merit report for the author. His superior was Major General Jose Lachambre, who directed the main part of the operations in the province of Cavite, which was in the hands of the insurgents with Aguinaldo at the head. In February 1897 they took successively, after numerous combats, Silang, Dasmariñas and other points; in March the city of Imus, where the rebels had their headquarters; and until April 1 the positions of San Francisco de Malabón, Rosario, Noveleta and Cavite. Of extraordinary interest to know the warlike compasses of the first phases of the revolution. Extremely curious the folded map indicating the different military operations in the region of Cavite
