Considered as an “art titan” from the 1960s to the present, Raul Isidro has never stopped exploring and venturing into different media. Isidro’s
works are predominantly influenced by the changing mood of mother earth and the environment. He has surprisingly worked on stones, wood,
and metal for his sculpture and created mixed media abstracts during the ‘60s when acrylic paint was just freshly introduced in the country. During the late ‘80s, he fashioned his canvases with gold leaf, but only revealed it to the general public during the ‘90s.
A truly passionate teacher of the arts, Isidro gives a huge portion of his time to promoting art and honing aspiring artists. As an innovative educator, he firmly believes that one must fully enjoy art and encourages art appreciation in the grassroots.
